An Overview of Gunnar Nylund’s Solros Series

Gunnar Nylund (1904–1997) designed many classics for the Swedish ceramic factory Rörstrand. One of the most well-known series is Solros (Sunflower) from 1959. It consists of stoneware bowls, dishes, and vases. They have a robust form, floral relief, and turquoise or yellow glaze.
