An Overview of Gunnar Nylund’s Rubus Series
Gunnar Nylund designed many classics for the Swedish ceramic factory Rörstrand. One of the most well-known series is Rubus from 1965. It consists of stoneware bowls and vases. They have a robust form and mottled blue/brown glaze.
The objects are marked on the lower side with Rörstrand’s symbol (R), GN, Sweden, and the model number. They share models with the Alpina (blue/gray glaze) and Birka (brown/yellow glaze) series. Which Rubus piece object is your favorite?
