An Overview of Mari Simmulson’s Sippa Series

Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known series is Sippa (Windflower) from 1962. It consists of seven earthenware bowls and vases. They have sturdy forms, brown glazes, and white linear decors. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Mari’s mark (MS or Maris). The series was manufactured until 1963. Which of Mari’s Sippa objects is your favorite?
