An Overview of Anita Nylund’s Pepperino Series

Anita Nylund designed many classics for the Jie-Keramik company in the south of Sweden. One of the most well-known series is the Pepperino series from the 1950s. It consists of flintware jars, shakers, coffee cups, and plates. They have  printed and hand-painted plant decor.

The jars have teak lids marked with different spice names like ”Timjan” (thyme), ”Ingefära” (ginger), and ”Senap” (mustard). They could be accompanied with a stand to hang on your wall.

On the lower side, the Pepperino objects are often marked with Jie, Gantofta, Sweden, Pepperino, and Design Anita Nylund. Which of Anita’s pieces is your favorite?
