Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known series is India from 1967. It consists of six earthenware bowls, dishes, and vases. They have a segmented form, brown glaze, and white geometric relief. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Mari’s mark (MS or Maris). The series was produced until 1969. Which of Mari’s India objects is your favorite?
