Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known series is Pulla from 1963. It consists of two earthenware jars and eggcups. They have a rounded form, white glaze, and yellow chicken motif. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Mari’s mark (MS or Maris). The series was produced until 1965. Which of Mari’s Pulla objects is your favorite?
