Stig Lindberg Berså (1961) Porcelain from Gustavsberg
Stig Lindberg's brilliant series "Berså" has stylistically pure shapes decorated with a green leaf pattern. It was designed in 1961 at the Gustavsberg Factory in the Stockholm archipelago. The series is still crafted at the same location according to the area's long-standing pottery tradition. An example of legendary Swedish porcelain design.

An Overview of Stig Lindberg’s Berså series
Stig Lindberg (1916–1981) designed more than 150 models and decors for the Gustavsberg factory. One of the most well-known series is Berså that was designed in 1961. It was manufactured from bone china and flintware until 1974.
The series is adorned with a joyous green leaf decor. The pattern was originally created by Krister Karlmark at the end of the 1950s. He was at the time assistant at the factory and would later become an art professor.) Stig then developed the pattern and adjusted it for production.

The Berså series is once again manufactured at Gustavsberg since 2005. It is now made of bone china or stoneware according to the area's long-standing pottery tradition. Each object is fired in a kiln three times which results in a solid tableware that is both dishwasher and microwave safe. A portion of the proceeds from every object sold goes to finance new exhibitions at the Gustavsberg's Porcelain Museum.

Rounded bowls. Diameter 13 cm (5.1 in), 16 cm (6.3 in), 18 cm (7.1 in), and 20 cm (7.9 in).
Butter boxes. Length 16 cm (6.3 in) and 17 cm (6.7 in).
Pitcher. Height 13 cm (5.1 in).
Sauce pan. Length 20 cm (7.9 in).
Sugar sifter and vinegar bottle. Height 20 cm (7.9 in).
Wall container. Height 23 cm (9.1 in).
Turreen. Width 26 cm (10.2 in).
Salt and pepper shaker. Height 10 cm (3.9 in).
Jam jars. Height 6,5 cm (2.6 in) and 8 cm (3.1 in).
