Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known series is Vibrato from 1957. It consists of six earthenware bowls and vases. They have rounded forms, strong yellow glaze, and string relief. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Mari’s mark (MS or Maris). The series was manufactured until 1958. Which of Mari’s Vibrato objects is your favorite?
