An Overview of Mari Simmulson’s Carum Serie
Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known series is Carum (Caraway) from 1960. It consists of five earthenware bowls, dishes, and vases. They have a sturdy form, blue/brown geometric decor, and rough surface.
