An Overview of Hertha Bengtson's India Series
Hertha Bengtson designed India in 1955 during the golden age of Swedish ceramics. The flintware series was then manufactured by the Rörstrand company until 1962. It consists of tea set parts with elegant forms, weaved basket relief, and yellow glaze.
India shares models with two series: Turkos (turquoise glaze) and Ceylon (green glaze). All three series also share black or white pots, plates, sugar bowls, and creamers.
