Thomas Hellström (1924–2006) was one of Sweden’s leading ceramic artists in the 20th century. He was part of the Nordic tradition aiming for warm-hearted, humorous, and sometimes subtly ironic design. After his art studies at ”Konstfack” in Stockholm, Thomas worked for the Nittsjö factory for almost 50 years. He became a prominent designer of animal figurines with rounded shapes and kind expressions. Thomas artistry is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.
