Sven Wejsfelt (1930–2009) was one of Sweden’s leading ceramic artists in the 20th century. He was part of the Nordic pottery tradition aiming for stoneware objects with the highest perfection. After his education and early work years at Rörstrand, Sven worked for the Gustavsberg factory for more than 50 years. He became a master of throwing and glazing, leading to marvelous unique stoneware pieces. Sven’s artistry is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.
