An Overview of Oiva Toikka’s Puffballs

Oiva Toikka’s puffballs have become iconic pieces for glass collectors all over the world. They were launched in 2010 with swelling shapes, unicolored bodies, and clear heads. In the first years, they were crafted at the Nuutajärvi glassworks, but then production moved to the Iittala glassworks.

The puffball is quite small (about 8 cm / 3.1 in) but with a big personality. Every bird is mouth-blown and handcrafted, giving it a unique touch. Which Oiva Toikka puffball is your favorite?
