Oiva Toikka (1931–2019) was one of the leading Finnish glass and ceramic designers of the 20th century. For many years, he served as artistic director of Nuutajarvi and Iittala glassworks. Oiva is mainly associated with his iconic series of glass birds starting in 1973. His work is displayed at museums around the world.
