Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known series is Vespa from 1964. It consists of six earthenware dishes and vases. They have a cylinder or square form, brown/white glaze, and geometric relief decor. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Mari’s mark (MS or Maris). The series was produced until 1965. Which of Mari’s Vespa objects is your favorite?
