Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known objects are the wall plaques Iris, Linda, Pia, and Rosa from 1964. They are made of earthenware with rectangular forms and stylistic woman motifs. The objects are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Mari’s mark (MS or Maris). The series was produced until 1965. Which of Mari’s wall plaques is your favorite?
