An Overview of Mari Simmulson’s Ina, Gina, and Stina Series

Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known objects are the girl figurines Ina, Gina, and Stina from the 1960s. They are made of earthenware with rounded forms, colorful glazes, and heartwarming expressions. The figurines are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Mari’s mark (MS or Maris). Which of Mari’s girls objects is your favorite?
