Lisa Larson's dazzling woman sculpture "Dora" with curvaceous form. She wears a 1950s typical dress with geometric pattern. The sculpture is decorated by hand, givit it a unique touch. Lisa designed Dora as part of the "ABC Girls" (ABC-flickor) series in 1958 for Gustavsberg. The series consists of five curvaceous women in era-typical dresses: - Amazing Amalia - Beautiful Beata - Charming Charlotta - Dazzling Dora - Elegant Emma The figurines were originally meant to be used as book support but they were too light weighted for that purpose. Lisa Larson (1931–2024) was one of the most distinguished Swedish ceramists of the 20th century. She is mostly known for her warm-hearted, humorous and sometimes subtly ironic figurines. Lisa’s artistry is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.
