An Overview of Lars Thorén’s Vilda Blommor Series
Lars Thorén (1918–2006) designed many classics for the Swedish Rörstrand company. One of the most well-known series is Vilda Blommor (Wildflowers) from the 1940s. It consists of white stoneware objects with rounded forms: bowls, boxes, dishes, and vases. They have printed and hand-painted colorful meadow flowers like bluebell, crepis, and heather.
The items are stamped on the lower side with Rörstrand, Sverige (Sweden), and sometimes Lth. Which of Lars’ Vilda Blommor objects is your favorite?
