Karin Björquist (1927–2018) was one of Sweden’s leading ceramic artists in the 20th century. She was part of the Nordic design tradition aiming for more beautiful every day goods for everybody. After her art studies at Konstfack in Stockholm, Karin worked for the Gustavsberg company for more than 40 years. She became known as a prominent designer of tableware and artwork. Karin’s artistry is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.
