An Overview of Ingrid Atterberg’s Vesuv Series

Ingrid Atterberg (1920–2008) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1940s to 1960s. One of the most appreciated series is Vesuv from 1960. It consists of seven earthenware dishes and vases. They have rustic forms, circular relief decor, and green or brown glaze.

The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, Sweden, Abg, and the model number. The series was manufactured until 1962. Which of Ingrid’s Vesuv objects is your favorite?
