Ingrid Atterberg (1920–2008) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1940s to 1960s. One of the most well-known series is Progresso from 1958. It consists of eight vases and bowls made from earthenware. They have rough surfaces and rustic expressions. The glazes come in four versions: polychrome with geometric decor, unicolored green, unicolored red, and unicolored yellow. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, Sweden, Abg, and the model number. The series was manufactured until 1959. Which of Ingrid’s Progresso objects is your favorite?
