Ilse Claesson (1907–1999) was one of Sweden’s leading ceramic artists in the 20th century. After her art studies at the School of Design and Crafts in Gothenburg, she worked for the Rörstrand factory in the 1920s–1930s. Ilse became a prominent designer of Art Deco inspired objects in green, blue, and black colors. Her artistry is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.
