Hjördis Oldfors (1920–2014) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s. One of the most well-known series is Trio from 1954. It consists of 16 earthenware bowls, candleholders, dishes, and vases. They have geometric forms, black glazes, and white/yellow linear decors. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Hjördis’s mark (”Hj” in a circle). The series was manufactured until 1958. Which of Hjördis’ Trio objects is your favorite?
