Hjördis Oldfors (1920–2014) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s. One of the most well-known series is Pil (Willow) from 1958. It consists of six earthenware dishes and vases. They have leaf forms, red glaze, and green branch relief. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Hjördis’s mark (”Hj” in a circle). The series was manufactured until 1962. Which of Hjördis’ Pil objects is your favorite?
