Hjördis Oldfors (1920–2014) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s. One of the most well-known series is Ibiza from 1958. It consists of four earthenware bowls and vases. They have gently swelling forms, yellow glaze, and leaf relief decor. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Hjördis’s mark (”Hj” in a circle). The series was manufactured until 1960. Which of Hjördis’ Ibiza objects is your favorite?
