Hjördis Oldfors (1920–2014) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s. One of the most well-known series is Diagonal from 1955. It consists of six earthenware bowls and vases. They have a diagonal unglazed line between green and black glazed areas. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Hjördis’s mark (”Hj” in a circle). The series was manufactured until 1956.
