Hjördis Oldfors (1920–2014) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s. One of the most well-known series is Camilla from 1957. It consists of seven earthenware bowls and vases. They have gently rounded forms, black or yellow glaze, and polychrome stylistic leaf pattern. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Hjördis’s mark (”Hj” in a circle). The series was manufactured until 1960. Which of Hjördis’ Camilla objects is your favorite?
