An Overview of Helena Tynell’s Aurinkopullo (Sun Bottle) Series

Helena Tynell (1918–2016) has designed many classics for the Finnish Riihimäen Lasi glassworks. One of the most well-known series is Aurinkopullo (Sun Bottle) from 1964. It consists of uni-colored vases with a swelling bottle shape, sun relief and joyous expression. They came in four sizes and a multitude of colors. The series was in production until 1974.
