An Overview of Gunvor Olin-Grönqvist’s Kosmos Series

Gunvor Olin-Grönqvist (1928–2005) designed many classics for the Finnish Arabia company. One of the most well-known series is Kosmos from 1962. It consists of sturdy stoneware objects like bowls, creamers, cups, and plates. They are made in two different color schemes: brown decor on green glaze, or dark blue decor on light blue glaze. On the lower side, the items are stamped with Kosmos, Arabia, Finland, and GOG. 

The models were designed by Ulla Procopé. Kosmos was manufactured until 1976. Which of Gunvor’s tableware pieces is your favorite?
