Gunnar Nylund (1904–1997) designed many classics for the Swedish ceramic factory Rörstrand. One of the most well-known series is Scherzo from 1964. It consists of flintware bowls and vases. They have sculptural forms, geometric relief pattern, and glaze in beige, bluish purple, or white color.
Scherzo shares models with the Oliv (green glaze) and the Fortuna (dark blue glaze) series. The objects are marked on the lower side with Rörstrand, Sweden, Scherzo, and the model number. Which piece in this series is your favorite?
