Gunnar Nylund (1904–1997) designed many classics for the Swedish ceramic company Rörstrand. One of the most well-known series is Paranta from 1954. It consists of flintware bowls and vases with a streamlined form, glossy blue, green, or yellow glaze, and linear wave relief. On the lower side, the objects are marked with the Rörstrand symbol (R).
