An Overview of Gunnar Nylund’s Igloo Series

Gunnar Nylund designed many classics for the Swedish ceramic factory Rörstrand. One of the most well-known series is Igloo from 1965. It consists of five stoneware bowls and vases. They have a robust form, mottled brown/green glaze, and ribbed relief.

The objects are marked on the lower side with Rörstrand’s symbol (R), GN, Sweden, and Igloo. Which piece is your favorite?
