An Overview of Ester Wallin’s Animals and People for Upsala-Ekeby
Ester Wallin (1928-2009) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1960s and 1970s. Among her most well-known objects are the earthenware figurines with animal and people motifs. They hare rounded forms, earthy color schemes, and kindhearted expressions. The figurines are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Ester’s mark (EW). Which of the them is your favorite?
